UHM gets new Chief Operating Officer

Klaus Assmann has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia for United Hospitality Management (UHM). Assmann, a veteran with nearly four decades of international experience in luxury hotel operations and mixed-use projects, returns from a brief retirement after serving as CEO of Aldar Hotels & Hospitality. He has also held senior roles with renowned brands such as Fairmont, Sofitel, Jumeirah, Shangri-La, Park Hyatt, and Nikko Hotels, and played key roles in pre-opening projects including Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. 

EgyptAir appoints new Director of PR

EgyptAir has appointed Tamer Abdallah Youssef Ali Fayed as Acting Director General of the Public Relations and Protocol Department. In his new role, Fayed will oversee operations within the General Secretariat and the Affairs of the Board of Directors and Chairman’s Office, focusing on enhancing EgyptAir’s corporate image and managing official engagements and 

Soumitra Saha promotes to TIME Hotels CFO

UAE’s TIME Hotels, headquartered in the UAE, has promoted Soumitra Saha to Chief Financial Officer. Saha joined TIME Hotels in 2022 with over 35 years of industry experience across major hospitality brands. In his new role, Saha will work to oversee financial operations, risk assessment, and strategic growth during TIME Hotels’ expansion plan, which includes 12 new properties in Tanzania, Morocco, the Indian Ocean and Saudi Arabia by Q1 2026.

New COO for Antara Cruises

Antara Cruises has appointed Vineet Arora as its new Chief Operating Officer. Previously serving as Vice President at Antara, Arora played a key role in developing the world’s longest river cruise project and advancing the brand in the luxury river cruise segment. In his new role, he aims to enhance guest experiences, promote sustainability, and positively impact the local community.
