The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) invites travel industry partners and travellers on a journey to the world’s most breathtaking destinations and wildlife experiences, while supporting sustainable tourism initiatives.
Ending on Sunday 8 September the expo welcomed a number of new exhibitors from the GCC and Africa to this year’s edition – spearheaded by Tourism 365, the tourism arm of Adnec Group:
Fujairah Adventures Center
Established in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah, the Fujairah Adventures Center is a haven for adrenaline seekers interested in activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking. With more 10 different trails extablished, visitors are encouraged to explore the rugged beauty across the five destinations of Fujairah, Dibba, Masafi, Al Haniya and Al Taween.
Sharjah Safari
Inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi on 17 February 2022, the Sharjah Safari offers a unique chance to witness Africa’s incredible endemic wildlife in a fence-free environment, mimicking their natural habitats. With over 120 species and 50,000 animals, including iconic creatures like lions, elephants, giraffes, and rhinoceros, as well as birds, reptiles, and mammals, Sharjah Safari is a must-visit destination for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
National Center for Wildlife
The National Center for Wildlife in Saudi Arabia highlights the Kingdom’s growing emphasis on wildlife conservation and sustainable eco-tourism. Their interactive exhibits encourage visitors to learn about Saudi’s rich and colourful biodiversity, current efforts being implemented to protect endangered species, and all of the different ways to experience the kingdom’s diverse landscapes.
African Frontier Safaris
Based in the Marken area in the Northern parts of South Africa near the Limpopo River, African Frontier Safaris offer expertly curated wildlife adventures including intimate encounters with Africa’s iconic “Big Five” and hidden gems, while prioritising responsible travel and community support.
Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA)
TAWA from Tanzania is all about untamed landscapes and eco-friendly tourism, highlighting the legendary Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, home to the world’s most spectacular wildlife migration. Established as a body corporate with core responsibilities of biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of wildlife resources outside National Parks and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, TAWA manages more than 136,000 sqkm of Game Reserves, Game Controlled Areas, Ramsar site and Open areas. In addition, TAWA oversees the management of wildlife in captivity (farms, zoos, ranches, sanctuaries and orphanage centers) and Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs).
