The Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on one of the most comprehensive customer satisfaction surveys in global travel. Conducted from September 2024 to May 2025, the survey collected feedback from millions of passengers across over 100 nationalities, covering 325 airlines.

From luxurious lounges to award-winning cabin crew, these carriers aren’t just competing, they’re setting new global standards in service, innovation, and hospitality.
Qatar Airways: World’s Best Airline (Again)

Leading the charge for the ninth consecutive year, Qatar Airways retained its title as the World’s Best Airline. Known for redefining luxury air travel, the Doha-based carrier also claimed awards for World’s Best Business Class and Best Business Class Lounge for the Al Mourjan Garden Lounge at Hamad International Airport. The consistency of Qatar Airways’ dominance shows its unmatched blend of service, comfort, and innovation.
Emirates: Best In-Flight Entertainment and global top five finish

Dubai’s Emirates continued its reign as a global aviation powerhouse, placing fourth worldwide and second in the Middle East. The airline secured the award for Best In-Flight Entertainment, thanks to its renowned ICE entertainment system, and was commended for its luxurious first-class suites and exceptional onboard dining.
Saudia: Best Airline Staff Service

Saudia, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, was recognised for Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East. This accolade marks a significant achievement as the airline also climbed three spots to rank 17th globally. The award highlights Saudia’s efforts in enhancing the passenger experience through attentive and professional service across all cabin classes.
Etihad Airways: Best First Class Catering in the Middle East

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways was honoured for its First Class Onboard Catering, showcasing its commitment to elevating the culinary experience at 30,000ft. The award shows the airline’s strategic focus on delivering personalised luxury.
Turkish Airlines: A strong regional player

Ranking sixth globally, up from seventh last year, Turkish Airlines continues to expand its global footprint. With a vast route network and improved service quality, the airline remains a strong competitor in the MENA region and beyond.
EgyptAir: Africa’s Most Improved Airline

While technically part of North Africa, EgyptAir deserves special mention, earning the title of Best African Airline for Passenger Services. It also swept several regional categories, including Best Economy Class Catering, Best Cabin Crew, and Most Improved Airline in Africa.
As the skies get more crowded, MENA airlines continue to prove they’re flying high for all the right reasons.
