Emirates is making it a little easier for UAE residents to explore Bali’s beaches, diverse marine life and scenic waterfalls, with extra seats to the popular island this peak season.
Commencing 1 September through to 31 October this year, the airline will operate a second daily A380 service between Dubai and the Indonesian Island. The large, wide-body plane replaces the current Boeing 777 service and joins the first A380 which Emirates launched on the route in June last year.
In total, the two A380 services will offer more than 2,600 weekly seats to and from Bali and the UAE. That should be more than enough seats to meet demand for the island (well, the airline hopes) which was identified by Expedia as being a top destination in Asia for UAE residents to visit this summer. Demand for Bali was on par with the family and couple-orientated Maldives as well as the party island of Mykonos.
In a statement, Emirates explained that the additional A380 aircraft will drive “more inbound traffic to Bali during one of the busiest times of the year and seamlessly connecting travellers from Indonesia to Dubai and beyond through Emirates’ extensive global network”.
Emirates launched its non-stop daily service from Dubai to Bali in 2015, adding to the existing Jakarta flights which commenced in 1992.
