At The Future Hospitality Summit, Mantis Hotels reiterated its Middle East expansion, sharing the hotels the group will be bringing to Bahrain, KSA, and the UAE. Each of the properties will work to ensure local indigenous plants and wildlife are protected allowing the natural beauty of the area to be preserved. This also means the hotels will allow guests exciting immersive encounters, sharing the cultural traditions, cuisine, and landmarks of each of the destinations.

Unveiled plans for the three new properties included:

  1. Hawar Resort by Mantis (Hawar Island, Bahrain): Scheduled to open in Q3 2024, it will feature 102 accommodation units, five dining areas and premium leisure options.
  2. Mantis Al Baha (Saudi Arabia): Anticipated for Q2 2025, the hotel will feature 100 accommodation units, spa and dining facilities and an adventure park.
  3. Mantis Saij Mountain Lodge (United Arab Emirates): While the opening date has yet to be confirmed, this hotel will offer 70 luxury eco-lodges, guided trekking, mindful activities, and creative experiences.

Speaking on the plans, Mantis Vice President of Operations, Craig Erasmus said, β€œOur expansion into the Middle East signifies a new chapter in Mantis’ legacy of responsible luxury hospitality. We curate the connections to inspire our guests to adopt our philosophy, by providing experiences that link them to nature, wildlife and communities. We relish the opportunity to offer guests access to rare encounters and are delighted that we have three distinct properties and destinations in our pipeline.β€œ

This strategic move marks a significant milestone for Mantis as it extends its footprint beyond Africa, emphasising sustainable practices and immersive cultural experiences while preserving local flora and fauna.
