Commencing 18 April, flydubai will fly twice-weekly between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) to Al Jouf and Red Sea International airports.

While CCO of flydubai, Hamad Obaidalla, expressed confidence in the direct flights’ ability to strengthen regional ties, Senior VP of Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Subcontinent and Africa) Sudhir Sreedharan highlighted flydubai’s role as a pioneer in the industry, saying β€œflydubai becomes the first carrier to operate to Red Sea International from the UAE, offering passengers direct access to Saudi Arabia’s resorts at The Red Sea destination. This underscores our commitment to opening up underserved markets and further connecting the regions we operate to via Dubai’s aviation hub.”

Red Sea International Airport (RSI) is strategically positioned to serve as the gateway to The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations, offering a five-star hospitality experience amidst its natural surroundings. With plans for expansion, The Red Sea will feature 50 resorts by 2030, boasting luxurious amenities including marinas, golf courses, and entertainment facilities.
