Qatar Airways’ star studded partnerships – where fine dining meets F1

Qatar Airways

In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to world-class luxury, Qatar Airways has unveiled two major initiatives this week, cementing its position at the intersection of elite sport, cinematic entertainment, and global fine dining.

The airline first announced a landmark culinary partnership with Chef Alléno, who holds 17-Michelin-star across 19 restaurants in seven countriesa, a move that coincided with a high-profile celebration of its partnership with Formula 1®.

Setting a new standard for inflight hospitality, the airline revealed its gastronomic collaboration with Chef Yannick Alléno, one of the world’s most celebrated culinary figures. The partnership will bring Alléno’s visionary approach to modern French cuisine to the airline’s First and Business Class cabins, as well as its exclusive lounges.

Blending French refinement with global influences, the collaboration will introduce bespoke menus curated by Chef Alléno on select routes, exclusive creations for the airline’s Paris lounge, and the opening of a Pavyllon restaurant—a signature of Alléno’s “gastronomic counter” concept—in the prestigious First Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport.

“At Qatar Airways, we are constantly striving to innovate and collaborate with the best in their fields,” said Qatar Airways Chief Retail and Hospitality Officer, Mr. Thabet Musleh. “Chef Yannick Alléno represents a benchmark for excellence that reflects our shared passion for innovation, sophistication, and the art of hospitality.”

Chef Yannick Alléno added, “Together, we have crafted menus that reflect our shared values and aim to leave travellers with a lasting impression and a timeless moment.”

This new standard for fine dining in the sky was matched by the airline’s high-octane activities on the ground, as it celebrated its deep partnership with the world of elite motorsport. Following the FORMULA 1® PIRELLI CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2025, Qatar Airways, the Global Partner and Official Airline of F1®, hosted drivers and team principals on a special charter flight from Montreal to New York City for the world premiere of the new ‘F1 The Movie’.

Onboard the Boeing 777-300ER, equipped with the award-winning Qsuite and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, the sport’s biggest names were transported to the red-carpet event at the iconic Radio City Music Hall. The flight also marked a milestone for the airline, contributing to its busiest day in New York to date with four flights departing from JFK.

“Our partnership with Formula 1® continues to be an extraordinary platform to showcase Qatar Airways’ commitment to innovation, excellence, and unforgettable experiences,” said Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori. “Flying stars of the sport to the movie premiere was more than just a journey; it was a celebration of sport, storytelling and global connection.”

16 June 2025 also marked the carrier’s busiest day in New York to date, with four flights departing from JFK, including the charter flight. This milestone highlights the airlines continued growth in the US with 11 gateways connecting travellers to a global network of over 170 destinations.
