Cluster Director of Marketing

Job Purpose:

Lead the marketing efforts to position 3 operating properties and manage a successful launching of a resort property as an anchor on Hudayriyat island, Abu Dhabi.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties:

Strategic Planning & Market Positioning:

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies tailored for each hotel, aligning with the overall brand positioning and growth goals.
  • Create a Pre-Opening Marketing Plan for the new hotel, focusing on brand awareness, target market penetration, and local partnerships.
  • Conduct Market Analysis to understand competitive landscapes, pricing, and emerging market trends.
  • Plan and Manage Budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources across the cluster.

Website Launch & Distribution Strategy:

  • Oversee the Launch of the New Website, ensuring user-friendly design, optimized SEO, and integration with CRM and booking systems.
  • Coordinate Content Creation to highlight unique selling points of each property, including images, video content, and guest reviews.
  • Implement a Distribution Strategy focusing on direct booking channels, OTAs, and third-party partnerships, with a strong focus on channel performance tracking.
  • Optimize Distribution Mix by balancing direct website traffic with key OTA partnerships and increasing ROI from digital channels.

Digital Marketing & Social Media:

  • Manage Digital Campaigns (PPC, display, and retargeting) to increase online visibility and conversions.
  • Enhance Social Media Presence with a tailored content strategy for each property, emphasizing community engagement and brand personality.
  • Oversee Email Marketing Campaigns for customer retention, segmented for loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.

Public Relations & Brand Management:

  • Build Relationships with Media to maximize press coverage and public interest in both established hotels and the new opening.
  • Develop Key Brand Partnerships with influencers and content creators to promote unique aspects of each property.
  • Manage Online Reputation through review management and response strategies on platforms like TripAdvisor, Google, and Booking.com.

Analytics & Performance Tracking:

  • Set KPIs and Monitor Performance across all marketing channels, including website metrics, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Regularly Report on ROI and Marketing Impact to senior management, adapting strategies based on analytics and campaign performance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and Develop the Marketing Team, providing clear objectives, regular feedback, and training.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations to align marketing efforts with occupancy goals and service delivery.

Additional Focus on Pre-Opening Hotel:

  • Drive Brand Awareness for the New Hotel, targeting launch events, media previews, and partnerships with local tourism boards.
  • Set Up an Opening Launch Calendar, including countdown campaigns, press releases, and exclusive early booking offers.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience in hospitality marketing.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in marketing within the hospitality, luxury, or tourism industry.
  • Proven Track Record in Hotel Openings, including the development and execution of pre-opening marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in Brand Launches and Website Development, from strategy through execution and post-launch optimization.
  • Strong Background in Leading Integrated Marketing Campaigns (digital and traditional) with a focus on achieving high-impact results across multiple properties.

Competencies:

  • Advanced Digital Marketing Proficiency, including SEO, PPC, social media, CRM systems, and web analytics.
  • Experience with Distribution Channels and Revenue Management tools, and familiarity with OTA platforms.
  • Strong Project Management Skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, particularly during preopening phases.
  • Proficiency in English (required) with additional fluency in at least one foreign language preferred, especially in languages relevant to key target markets (e.g., Arabic, Russian, German, Mandarin)
  • Demonstrated Leadership in Managing Cross-Functional Teams, with the ability to guide, develop, and inspire a marketing team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills, working effectively with senior management, ownership, and external partner
