Health spa resort coming to Al-Ahsa

Ensana, Europe’s leading health spa and wellness hotel brand, has signed an MoU with Saudi hospitality operator Dyafa and the Municipality of Al-Ahsa to develop a 224-room health spa resort in Ain Najm, Al Hofuf.

The new resort, Ensana’s first in the Middle East, will combine clinical-grade spa treatments with Al-Ahsa’s natural offerings, aiming to position the region as a hub for medical wellness and therapeutic tourism. The resort will offer holistic health experiences rooted in science, nature, and Saudi heritage, tapping into Al-Ahsa’s potential as a global wellness destination.

Jeddah’s new luxury hotels unveiled 

Two major hotel projects were unveiled at the Future Hospitality Summit 2025: 

  • Marriott International’s St. Regis brand to debut by 2030 – Set to open in 2030, the seafront development will include 191 guestrooms and suites, five dining outlets, an indoor pool, spa, and over 1,000 sqm of event space. It will also house 92 branded residences ranging from one- to five-bedrooms, featuring a resident lounge, library, and children’s area.
  • The House Residence to launch in the Al Salam District – Local developer Baraka and lifestyle operator Kerten Hospitality announced the House Residence Al Salam District, a boutique residential hotel offering 113 units, including one- to three-bedroom apartments and villas. Spread across 45,000 sqm, the property aims to foster community living, with retail, dining, wellness, and co-working spaces. 

Waldorf Astoria Residences coming to Yas Island in Aldar-Hilton first

Aldar has announced a landmark partnership with Hilton to develop Waldorf Astoria Residences Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s first branded residential project on Yas Island and the capital’s debut for the luxury hospitality brand.

The development will feature furnished apartments and penthouses with premium amenities and views of Yas Links Golf Course and Yas Marina Circuit, home to the F1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.nSet within Aldar’s growing Yas Island portfolio, the branded residences mark Hilton’s expanding footprint in luxury living and align with rising regional demand for high-end, service-led homes.

  • Marriott International reported a 5.9% revenue growth in its international markets, including Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, during the first quarter of 2025.

  • Hilton and WestF5 are launching the DoubleTree by Hilton Residences in Dubai’s Jumeirah Garden City valued at nearly AED 500 million.
  • Best Western Hotels & Resorts plans to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia from 7 to up to 45 hotels by 2027, with 21 hotels currently in development.
  • Chef Jay Williams has been appointed the new Culinary Director at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, bringing more than 20 years of international experience to the role.
