Cruise is starting to gain more traction in the Middle East and here are the top three cruise news stories you might have missed.

Abu Dhabi and AD Ports Group sign MoU with Celestyal Cruises

Celestyal has signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi and AD Ports Group to enhance cruise offerings in the region. This agreement aims to promote Abu Dhabi as a key cruise destination and includes the development of a new 7-day itinerary that launches from November 2024 until March 2025, highlighting the emirate’s cultural and historical attractions.

An increase in cruise options in the Middle East is becoming a focus for significant regional tourism growth. Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Oman have joined the Cruise Arabia Alliance, while AROYA Cruises will start its maiden voyage in December 2024, all in the hope of attracting more international cruise lines and tourists to the Middle East.

The first cruise line in Saudi Arabia, AROYA Cruises, has opened bookings for its inaugural voyages, which will set sail in December 2024. The new Saudi Arabian cruise line offers luxurious experiences, extensive dining options, and itineraries featuring stops at exclusive Red Sea destinations, Egypt and Jordan.
