Sunset Hotels & Resorts to expand with 220-key property in Bahrain

Sunset Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to expand its METT brand by introducing METT Residences and CASA METT properties, starting in 2025. The first METT Hotel & Residences will be developed in partnership with Esterad Amwaj on Amwaj Beachfront in Bahrain, featuring 220 keys, including branded villas and residences, aimed at enhancing luxury and wellness offerings. This initiative aligns with the group’s vision to manage or operate 20 properties by 2026. The METT brand is recognized for its relaxed luxury lifestyle, exceptional guest satisfaction, and remarkable dining and entertainment experiences.

Damac Maison Distinction, a luxury residence in Dubai, has been awarded ‘Best Boutique Hotel’ at the 10th Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards 2024, held at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club in Dubai. This accolade highlights the property’s commitment to personalised service and sustainability within the Middle East’s luxury hospitality sector. Key leaders from Damac Hotels and Resorts, including Hossam Elkeshk, Director of Damac Maison Hospitality, and Ahmed Lotfy, General Manager of Damac Maison Aykon City, accepted the award, acknowledging their roles in elevating the brand’s excellence. Dean Rossilli, Senior Vice President of Hospitality at Damac Hotels and Resorts, expressed enthusiasm for the recognition, attributing it to the team’s dedication to redefining luxury hospitality in the region.

MΓΆvenpick Wa’ad Al Shamal opens in Saudi Arabia’s northern region

MΓΆvenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of MΓΆvenpick Wa’ad Al Shamal, a new property located in Saudi Arabia’s northern region. Featuring 245 rooms and suites, including two Presidential Suites, blending comfort with modern design, guests can look forward to enjoying various dining options including Yasmeen Restaurant, serving Saudi and international cuisines; Zafaran Restaurant, offering authentic Turkish dishes; Oasis Pool Bar for poolside refreshments; and Flora Lobby Lounge, known for MΓΆvenpick’s signature coffee blends and pastries, as well as the daily MΓΆvenpick Chocolate Hour. The property also offers 18 state-of-the-art meeting rooms and expansive banqueting facilities, catering to conferences, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations.
