Jumeirah unveils ultra-luxury Dubai resort with expansive spa

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is set to launch Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, an ultra-luxury five-star Dubai resort, on 14 March. The resort will feature a 3,500sqm spa spread over three floors, with 13 treatment rooms, a fitness studio, hammam, sauna, and steam bath. The spa will offer treatments from Irish skincare and spa brand Ground Wellbeing, following a new global partnership with Jumeirah. The resort’s wellbeing offering will be integrated throughout the property, with a focus on family wellness, women’s wellness, and longevity.

Hawar Resort by Mantis opens on Bahrain’s Hawar Island

Hawar Resort by Mantis has officially opened on Bahrain’s stunning UNESCO-recognised Hawar Island, offering an extraordinary island escape for eco-conscious travellers. The luxury resort features 104 stylish accommodations, including overwater villas and beach villas, as well as a range of activities, including camel riding, water sports, and a Bear Grylls Adventure Zone. Guests can also unwind at the luxurious spa, enjoy fine dining at one of five restaurants, or relax by the seafront pool. The resort has been built with sustainability at its core, employing advanced conservation techniques and waste management systems to protect the island’s unique ecosystem.

Park Rotana Hotel has successfully renewed its ‘Green Key’ certification, a globally recognised eco-label awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), demonstrating its ongoing commitment to environmental excellence and sustainable practices. The hotel has strengthened its sustainability initiatives over the past year, implementing energy-efficient practices, water conservation efforts, and waste reduction measures. General Manager Eleni Tsolakou expressed pride in the achievement, stating that the hotel remains committed to implementing sustainable practices that enhance guest experiences while protecting the environment.

Qatar: 10 million hotel room nights sold in 2024

Qatar’s hotel sector experienced significant growth in 2024, with 10 million room nights sold, a 23% increase from 2023, according to Qatar Tourism’s 2024 Annual Performance Report. The total hotel supply reached 40,405 room keys, with an average occupancy rate of 69% across all accommodation categories. International visitor arrivals surpassed 5 million, a 25% increase from 2023, with the GCC being the largest source market. The tourism sector also saw an 8% rise in Average Daily Rate (ADR) and a 29% increase in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).

Marriott, Four Points launch new sustainable luxury approach

Hyatt to launch Hyatt Place hotel in AlUla

Hyatt has signed a management agreement with the Royal Commission for AlUla to develop the first Hyatt-branded hotel in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The 215-key Hyatt Place AlUla is set to open by the end of 2025 and will offer modern guestrooms, food and beverage outlets, meeting space, and recreational facilities. The hotel will participate in World of Hyatt and will be located near key tourist attractions, supporting the Royal Commission’s vision to establish AlUla as a leading global destination for cultural and natural heritage.
