In a significant milestone for Oman’s tourism sector, the Oman Tourism Association has announced its inaugural Board of Directors for 2025-2026.

Following its establishment under Ministerial Decision No. 397/2024, the Association is poised to drive innovation, sustainability, and growth in the sector.

The team

The newly appointed Board brings together a distinguished group of Omani professionals and industry experts, with Abdulrahman Awadh Burham Ba Omar serving as Chairman, Hadi Ali Al Sarhani as Vice Chairman, Issa Sultan Al Ismaili as Secretary, and Jamal Saif Al Azki as Treasurer. The Board also includes Moath Salim Al Ghazali, Shabib Mohammed Al Maamari, Khamis Said Al Wahaibi, Said Salim Al Shanfari, and Zahir Hamad Al Rashdi as members.

Unlocking Oman’s tourism potential

The Association’s mission is to showcase Oman as a world-class, culturally rich destination, leveraging partnerships with public and private sector entities to highlight the Sultanate’s unique natural assets and heritage. Key objectives include:

  • Fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • Championing industry best practices
  • Empowering startups and SMEs
  • Enhancing local content and in-country value

A new era for Oman’s tourism

With its Board in place, the Oman Tourism Association is ready to drive sectoral growth, innovation, and sustainability. As a key partner in realizing Oman Vision 2040, the Association is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Oman’s tourism landscape.
