Who better to guide you on a journey of mental and physical resilience than a former world number one tennis player?

Russian sensation Maria Sharapova has teamed up with luxury hotel group Aman to host an ace four-day wellness retreat at the brand’s Amanzoe property in the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece. The retreat is part of Maria’s role as Aman’s first Global Wellness Ambassador.

The curated programme is designed to cater to all levels and according to the luxury brand, will leave guests feeling at an advantage through a mix of focused mindfulness sessions, restorative therapies and outdoor adventures.

A sample itinerary on Aman’s website indicated that guests will feel the love with a number of opportunities to learn and engage with the tennis pro including open table conservations, body and mind agility sessions on the court and a group dinner. Retreaters will also enjoy time in the hammam, group fitness sessions such as hiking and cycling, as well as a range of healthy meals.

All guests will also receive a Wellness Kit curated by Maria in partnership with Aman Essentials. The goodie bag is expected to feature a range of Maria’s favourite β€œresilience-boosting pieces”.

In September last year, Maria told her Instagram followers that was she was excited to partner with Aman as it had β€œalways been a place of restoration and recovery for me”.

β€œAs an athlete, it [Aman] was where I’d decompress and set intentions for the following season,” she said. β€œAnd it allowed me to reconnect with my friends and family in the most beautiful and remote locations. If there are any takeaways from my new chapter in life, it’s that it requires the same discipline and focus that my professional career had taught me.”

β€œAman and I have come together to curate a series of bespoke retreats focusing on mindset, performance and recovery. We will be collaborating with the very best minds and talent in the industry.”

The luxury hotel group also recently revealed plans to open a second property in Dubai called β€˜Janu Dubai’. The hotel with have 150 rooms, multiple dining venues and will feature expansive outdoor terraces and lush balconies with views of the Burj Khalifa.
