flyadeal announces daily flights to Syria

Saudi low cost carrier flyadeal is raising expectations in the region with its latest move of direct flights to Syria. Starting 1 October 2025, the carrier will offer three weekly flights from Jeddah to Damascus, followed a day later by four weekly flights from Riyadh. Together, that’s near-daily connectivity designed to bring families closer, make travel more affordable, and revive cultural and trade ties that have long been on pause.

Marking a new era of regional reconnection, flyadeal’s launch is bridging Saudi Arabia and Syria, unlocking fresh opportunities for commerce, exchange, and affordable travel. Alongside its Syrian expansion, the carrier has also set its sights on South Asia and Europe.

The airline also recently announced plans to launch weekly flights from Islamabad to Dammam, opening up more choice for Pakistani travellers and potentially driving down ticket prices. Meanwhile, this September, flyadeal will trial a unique Riyadh-Sarajevo-Tirana-Riyadh triangle route, featuring 50-minute stops in both Sarajevo and Tirana. The service will run before Riyadh-Sarajevo flights are suspended for the winter season.

With ambitious plans to triple its fleet and destinations by 2030, the airline is targeting 100 aircraft and over 100 routes, cementing its position as a leading budget airline. In the first half of 2025 alone, it carried more than 5 million passengers, a 25% YoY rise, while adding dozens of new services and clinching the enviable title of the world’s most punctual budget airline with a 91.77% on-time record.

Looking beyond its regional stronghold, flyadeal also started preparing to take on the global market with its first widebody order back in April for ten Airbus A330-900s, setting the stage for long-haul operations from 2027.

This shift means the airline is preparing to compete on a global stage, taking its proven low-cost model into markets far beyond the Middle East. Add in other recent launches to Karachi, Alexandria and Istanbul, and flyadeal’s vision to diversify its network is clear.

flyadeal’s ambitious expansion plans and unwavering commitment to affordability and punctuality are perfectly aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, driving the Kingdom’s transformation into a global business and tourism powerhouse. And as the airline’s growth continues to soar, the next exciting chapter in its journey is already taking shape.
