flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s youngest low-cost carrier, has appointed Rogier van Enk as its new Chief Commercial and Customer Officer. Van Enk, a seasoned airline executive from Europe, brings a wealth of industry experience to the role.

Van Enk joins flyadeal at a time of rapid growth, with the airline having launched several new routes in recent months. Despite being just seven years old, flyadeal has established itself as one of the region’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers, operating a modern fleet of 37 aircraft to 30 destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, and South Asia.
Van Enk’s appointment is seen as a key move in flyadeal’s efforts to drive commercial growth and enhance customer experience. With his expertise in digital transformation, customer engagement, and revenue management, Van Enk is well-equipped to lead flyadeal’s commercial team and drive the airline’s ambitious growth plans.
βItβs a wonderful opportunity to join flyadeal that has ambitious, yet realistic growth targets fully aligned with the Kingdomβs Vision 2030 of building a dynamic aviation and tourism industry. With one new route being launched, on average, every two weeks this year and a domestic and international network that will triple to over 100 destinations by 2030, what an opportune time to be part of an exciting young airline thatβs maturing very fast.” – Van Enk
Van Enk’s experience in the airline industry spans over 12 years. Most recently, he served as Finnair’s Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement, where he was responsible for driving customer loyalty and revenue growth. He was also formerly Head of Distribution and Payments at British Airways in London.
βRogierβs deep insights and knowledge gained in the digital space at Finnair and British Airways will contribute towards flyadealβs continued mandate to remain digitally driven keeping both costs low and fares extremely competitive.” – Steven Greenway, flyadeal’s Chief Executive Officer
Van Enk’s appointment comes as flyadeal prepares for its busy summer seasonal flying program, with several new routes set to launch in the coming months. The airline is also planning for the upcoming Hajj season, with plans to fly 75,000 pilgrims into the Kingdom.
