Qatar Tourism has announced the winners of the 2024 Qatar Tourism Awards, a prestigious event honouring organisations and individuals contributing to making Qatar a top global destination. The ceremony took place at the Raffles Doha Ballroom, and was attended by His Excellency, Mr. Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, and Ms. Natalia Bayona, Executive Director of UN Tourism

The Qatar Tourism Awards, developed in partnership with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), aims to recognise the outstanding and ongoing contributions to service excellence in the industry. This year’s awards saw a significant increase in interest, with more than 1,200 applicants being evaluated.

The awards this year also expanded to seven categories, ensuring an inclusive representation of the visitor experience. The categories included Service Excellence, Gastronomic Experiences, Iconic Attractions, World-Class Events, Digital Footprint, Smart and Sustainable Tourism, and Community Leadership. A new Tourism Influencer Award was also introduced to recognise talented content creators showcasing Qatar’s vibrant culture, activities and experiences.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges who evaluated businesses and individuals excelling in each category. His Excellency Mr. Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji encouraged more tourism professionals to apply for nextyear’s awards, highlighting the benefits, including full access to the Winners Alumni Network.

By recognising exceptional initiatives and achievements, the Qatar Tourism Awards hopes to set a benchmark for excellence in the tourism sector, inspiring industry players to strive for authenticity, sustainability, accessibility, and high-quality service.
