What do you Abu Dhabi do if you’re on short on time, but wish to see some of the best of the UAE’s capital? Well, we’ve done some ground work for you and here are some of our best picks…

The landmark Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is not only the largest mosque in the UAE with its own breathtaking architecture, it is also home to the longest hand-woven carpet in the world. Taking 1,200 artisans two years, the 5,400 sq mtr carpet is an incredible sight, and demonstrates the talent and patience needed to create it.

2. Get a new perspective on Abu Dhabi’s art

You can do more than just traditionally explore the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which showcases art from different cultures and periods. The unique location means you can take a kayak tour of the dome to view the unique architecture and diverse collections from the serenity of the Arabian Sea.

The National Aquarium in Al Qana is not just an excellent activity for viewing more than 300 species of fish and marine life. It also offers scuba diving experiences so you can swim with sharks, rays, and turtles. The most memorable way to get your exercise in for the day.

5. End with a sunset

The Saadiyat Beach Club offers the perfect mix of relaxation and scenic beauty for a family or friend’s day out. As part of a protected habitat for the endangered Hawksbill Turtle, you may also have the opportunity to spot nesting in season. The best part, however, is that the club doesn’t close until 9 pm, making it a stunning sunset location to end your day of Abu Dhabi dos!
