Dubai has been declared the ‘World’s Best MICE Destination’ at the 5th annual World MICE Awards in Vietnam.

The city’s thriving MICE sector was highlighted by Dubai World Trade Centre‘s triple win, securing top spots as the ‘Middle East’s Best Convention Centre’, ‘World’s Best Professional Exhibitions Organiser’, and ‘United Arab Emirates’ Best Convention Centre’.

The Museum of the Future also had a triumphant night, securing two titles including ‘World’s Best MICE Event Venue’ and ‘Middle East’s Best MICE Event Venue’.

Meanwhile, top destination awards went to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which was crowned ‘Asia’s Best MICE Destination’ and ‘Asia’s Best Incentive Destination’. Lima, Peru, was ‘Latin America’s Best MICE Destination’, and Saint Lucia was named the ‘Caribbean’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination’. Lisbon held onto its crown as ‘Europe’s Best MICE Destination’, while Los Angeles shone bright as ‘North America’s Best MICE Destination’.

In the airline sector, Qatar Airways made a clean sweep, winning ‘Middle East’s Best MICE Airline’ and the prestigious ‘World’s Best MICE Airline’ titles, while Vietnam Airlines earned top honors as ‘Asia’s Best MICE Airline’ and Kenya Airways claimed ‘Africa’s Best MICE Airline’.

Other destinations and hotel brands that also stood out for their outstanding achievements included:

• Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay shone as the ‘World’s Best New MICE Hotel’
• Venice, Italy, took the top spot as the ‘World’s Best Incentive Destination’
• IMEX Frankfurt was hailed as the ‘World’s Best MICE Tradeshow’
• Vietravel excelled as the ‘World’s Best MICE Organiser’
• InterContinental Hotels & Resorts was honored as the ‘World’s Best MICE Hotel Brand’

The results followed a year-long search for the world’s leading MICE brands, where votes were cast by MICE industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.
