QTM returns to spotlight tourism innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration

The global travel and tourism community will gather in Doha later this month for the fourth edition of Qatar Travel Mart (QTM), taking place from 24-26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

QTM, organised by NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences and supported by Visit Qatar as Strategic Partner and Katara Hospitality as Founding Partner, has become one of the Middle East’s key platforms for advancing dialogue, partnerships, and development within the global tourism industry.

Setting the stage for tourism’s next chapter

With last year’s edition drawing over 10,000 visitors, 300 exhibitors, and representation from more than 60 countries, QTM 2025 is poised to raise the bar yet again. This year’s focus? The future of tourism, where sustainability meets smart innovation, and where culture and technology join forces to redefine the traveller experience.

Since its launch, QTM has positioned itself as a central meeting point for professionals across the travel ecosystem, from destination management companies and hotel groups to tourism boards, tour operators, and technology providers.

The 2025 edition will bring together stakeholders from more than 60 countries, highlighting the latest developments across ten major sectors: culture, leisure, business, luxury, sports, medical, halal, technology, sustainability, and education.

“QTM has evolved into one of the region’s most influential platforms for shaping the future of travel and tourism. Each edition reflects the industry’s dynamism, fostering connections, innovation, and opportunities that inspire growth across all tourism sectors. As Qatar continues to position itself as a world-class destination, QTM serves as a catalyst for collaboration and a showcase of the country’s vision for a sustainable, experience-driven tourism economy.” – Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs.

The lineup: Big ideas, bold futures

Running alongside the exhibition is the QTM Conference Series, a three-day programme focused on the forces shaping the future of travel. Each day will explore a key dimension of tourism’s evolution, with participation from international experts, policymakers, and industry leaders.

  • 24 November: ‘Preserving the Past, Shaping the Future’ will examine the role of cultural and heritage tourism in sustainable destination growth.
  • 25 November: ‘Designing Tomorrow: Hospitality, Innovation & Sustainability in a Changing World’ will explore new models for hospitality that integrate innovation and environmental responsibility.
  • 26 November: ‘Catalysts for Change’ will focus on the impact of mega-events, wellness, and health tourism in driving economic diversification and resilience.

The sessions aim to provide actionable insights, sharing data-driven strategies and practical approaches to building a more adaptive and sustainable global tourism sector.

Global Village, global connections

One of the event’s signature features, the Global Village, will again serve as a cultural exchange hub, featuring 11 countries including Indonesia, Türkiye, Poland, South Africa, Ghana, the Dominican Republic, Iran, Russia, Peru, Thailand, and Haiti. Through live performances, artisanal showcases, and traditional displays, the Global Village showcases tourism’s role as a bridge between cultures.

The event will also feature a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, recognising contributions of excellence and innovation across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

“We are delighted to once again take part in QTM, an inspiring event that plays a vital role in connecting global travel professionals and showcasing Qatar’s world-class tourism offerings. It provides a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with our valued travel partners, strengthen long-standing relationships, and forge new ones for the future.” – Andrew Steele, Raffles & Fairmont Doha Managing Director

Strengthening Qatar’s tourism network

QTM 2025 takes place amid continued growth in Qatar’s tourism industry, which welcomed 3.5 million visitors in the first nine months of 2025, a 2.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Industry leaders anticipate that QTM will further strengthen Qatar’s position as a regional hub for travel and tourism development.

By bringing together public and private sector leaders, QTM contributes to advancing shared goals around sustainability, digital transformation, and cross-border cooperation. The event’s structure, combining exhibition, conference, and cultural engagement, has made it a growing fixture on the international tourism calendar.

With tourism accounting for a significant share of economic diversification efforts in the region, QTM’s role extends beyond a trade event: it functions as a collaborative forum for strategy and innovation.
