A recent collaboration between UAE’s Tumodo and Saudi Arabia’s Tabby is enhancing the efficiency of business travel management, reflecting the rising demand for digital innovation and sustainability in the market.
Tumodo, a leading business travel platform, has integrated its product with Tabby’s financial services app, renowned for offering payment flexibility to millions in the MENA region. Combined, the technology will streamline business trip organisation and provide more control and visibility over travel expenses while also offering comprehensive tools for managing itineraries, travel logistics and flight booking.
The competition among online travel agents (OTAs) in the region is intensifying with a focus on catering to the unique preferences of Gen Z travellers, who prioritise convenience, digital engagement, and eco-friendly options. It’s also predicted that by 2028 82% of sales in the travel and tourism market in MENA will be online.
As the Middle East and Asia had the largest Gen Z population (470 million) in 2023, and more than 50% of Gen Z’s globally are frequent travellers, this move comes at a time when the integration of advanced technologies and sustainable practices will be crucial in attracting this tech-savvy demographic.
