Dubai, a city that could be described as the diamond of the Middle East for its opulence and style, once again shines as a top luxury destination in the world.

ArabiaWeather, the first and largest weather website in the Arab world that also likes to dabble in tourism listicles, has identified the UAE city as one that has taken the lead in luxury travel for 2024.

The weather site, said Dubai is at the forefront of luxury travel not only for the luxury that it offers visitors, β€œbut also the innovations and unique experiences” provided to all.

In case you need a little reminder of just how unique Dubai’s luxury offers can be, the city recently opened an AED1 billion Marbella Resort Hotel with its own private coral reef and a β€˜raining street’ that brings a gentle cooling rain every few minutes. Wow.

Dubai is also recognised as a Michelin culinary capital of the world with 106 restaurants included in the 2024 edition of the Michelin Guide for Dubai, and the city has some of the most impressive rooftop pools including the Aura Skypool which is the highest 360Β° infinity pool in the world.

With all these fabulous features and touches, it’s no wonder Dubai is not only one of the most luxurious travel destination the world but also the most popular city on TikTok. It’s true, read it here.

While Dubai was the only Middle Eastern city on the weather website’s list, there were a number of other glamorous rivals including the Maldives, California’s Monterey, Greece’s Santorini, Japan’s Tokyo, and South Africa’s Cape Town.
