Dubai Mall is set to undergo a whopping $408 million expansion. Yep! Just when you think malls in Dubai can’t get any bigger or better, this shopaholic’s paradise will be adding 240 new luxury stores and dining outlets, including retail precincts like “Fashion Avenue” and “The Grove”. Currently the mall is home to 1,200 stores and 200 eateries.

As one of the most visited places on Earth in 2023, Dubai Mall welcomed 105 million visitors last year. Its expansion plans aim to provide even more space and retail experiences to accommodate growing demands.

Over at Al Mamzar Beach less than 15 minutes up the road, a new floating pedestrian bridge is being built. The Dh355 million bridge project will connect both sides of the beach with several decks and floating platforms for activities and dining options. This allows Dubai’s 17.15+ million international visitors the option to pass over deeper water. It will also be future-proofed with an increased distance to the water to allow for rising sea levels and climate change.
