Visit Qatar is taking its commitment to tourism to new heights by opening its latest office in Saudi Arabia. Operated by Masterkey, a leading hospitality consulting and services company, this significant move aims to strengthen ties between the two nations and amplify awareness of Qatar’s diverse tourism offerings.

Having emerged as a key market for Qatar, a third of all international arrivals in January 2024 came from Saudi Arabia making the new office a timely addition that puts Visit Qatar in an excellent position to engage with partners in the Saudi market and drive interest towards Qatar’s rich tourism landscape.

To further promote tourism between the two countries, Visit Qatar, in collaboration with Qatar Airways, recently launched ‘Stopover’ packages and welcomed visitors with special Eid Al Fitr gift packages at the Abu Samra border. Additionally, the upcoming launch of the unified GCC tourist visa aims to facilitate travel and strengthen ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

CEO of MasterKey, Mohamed Zain, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership saying, β€œWe are thrilled about the partnership. This collaboration opens a new chapter for us and underscores our commitment to enhancing regional tourism. Qatar offers an extraordinary array of cultural, sports, and business attractions, making it a premier destination for international travellers, especially from Saudi Arabia.”

Chief Marketing and Promotions Officer at Qatar Tourism, Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, echoed this sentiment saying, β€œOur new office in Saudi Arabia is a testament to our commitment to further strengthening ties with GCC countries and enhancing tourism collaboration. Saudi Arabia remains a key market for Qatar, and this initiative reflects our commitment to deepening engagement with our Saudi partners.”
