A brand new obstacle course racing brand, Arabian Warrior, is about to hit the GCC! Sports fans can start marking in their calendars the eight events currently lined up across the region, starting in Dubai on 26 October 26.
Born in the Middle East, Arabian Warrior embodies the spirit of the region, blending rich history with a bold future. And, with an athletes-first philosophy, sporting fans will know they’re in for an epic and unforgettable experience.
After the inaugural event in Dubai, the next two events taking place before the end of the year will be held at Dammam and Jeddah before starting the new year in Fujairah. The race will then head to Riyadh and Ras Al Khaimah and conclude in Doha. With various race options (5k, 10k, 15k, 20k, 50k and 1.6k for kids), Arabic-themed obstacles of varying difficulties, each event promises to be action-packed thrill ride!
Open Heats are available for participants who wish to join the challenge, while the Age Group Heats are more suited to those with a more competitive streak, where runs are timed and winners will be crowned. There will also be an Elite category, where some of the worldβs most talented OCR athletes will go head-to-head. The respective winners of each distance cateory across all locations will be invited to battle it out to become the ultimate Arabian Warrior for the 2024/25 season, while significant prize funds will be announced in due course.
The Arabian Warrior events will also feature a Fan Village with entertainment and food options, providing a welcoming atmosphere for participants and spectators. Tickets for the inaugural event in Dubai will go on sale August 21.
