Etihad Airways is celebrating 20 years of flying to Mumbai by bringing their iconic A380 aircraft to the city for a limited time. From 1 September to 31 December 2024, the super jumbo double-decker plane will operate three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.

Etihad’s connection with India gradually deepend over the years, currently offering non-stop services to 11 Indian cities with plans for further expansion. The airline is committed to making travel easier and more enjoyable for Indian guests with initiatives like launching a Hindi website and sponsorships of popular Indian sports teams.

The A380’s deployment to Mumbai is a special treat for travellers; and given recent findings by opular online travel agent Wego that India is the top destination for GCC travellers, this increased capacity will no doubt be a massive welcome.

Etihad also recently announced increasing flight frequency to Thailnad with three daily flights to Bangkok and 20 weekly floghts to Phuket from 27 October. And starting 1 February 2025, Singapore will become the fourth major city to enjoy the Etihad A380 experience, following in the footsteps of London, New York and Paris, which will be served by the super jumbo jet from 1 November.
