NEOM hosted its inaugural Social Responsibility Awards ceremony on 14 August to honour outstanding contributions from employees, sectors, partners, and communities in the region.
CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr congratulated the winners, while emphasizing NEOM’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. He remarked, “Our commitment to social responsibility is a reflection of our core values and aligns seamlessly with NEOM’s vision and the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030. Sustainability, as one of NEOM’s pillars, drives us to innovate and act in ways that create lasting, positive impact. The remarkable efforts of our teams and individuals in driving meaningful change demonstrate our dedication to building a sustainable future that benefits not only our communities but also our nation. We are proud and happy to celebrate these contributions as a testament to our shared vision for a prosperous and inclusive future.”
The ceremony recognized 19 winners across the three categories of ‘NEOM Sectors’, ‘NEOM Partners’, and ‘NEOM Individuals’, with sub-categories for employees, families, students, and local community members. Winners included NEOM Operations, THE LINE proponent, Oxagon, Nesma & Partners, Ernst & Young, and King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, among others.
As part of NEOM’s efforts to empower local communities, enhance human capacity, and embed value through sustainable projects, the Awards aim to highlight best practices and exemplary contributions, inspiring wider participation in social initiatives.
In 2023, NEOM’s social responsibility programs benefited 50,000 people, with 26 projects awarded to companies in Tabuk and 583 individuals benefiting from employment opportunities. The previous year, NEOM introduced its first integrated volunteering ecosystem, engaging over 1,300 volunteers across 68 opportunities.
Through its role as an enabler, facilitator, and catalyst of socioeconomic growth, NEOM promotes a culture of social responsibility, inspiring stakeholders to contribute to shaping the future of responsible communities. These efforts demonstrate NEOM’s commitment to creating a legacy that makes the world a better place.
