Emirates elevates wine experience with bespoke cabin crew training

Emirates has launched L’art du vin, a comprehensive wine training program for cabin crew, to further enhance its wine in the sky experience. The program, designed by the Emirates Crew Training team, consists of three intensive courses tailored to varying levels of knowledge: L’art du vin Introduction, L’art du vinΒ – Business ClassΒ andΒ L’art du vin – First Class.

In a dedicated classroom replicating a high-end lounge, cabin crew will embark on a journey to appreciate the value of the bespoke wine program. With ambient music, mood lighting, and impressive displays, the atmosphere is set for an immersive learning experience at the horseshoe shaped bar that emulates Emirates‘ signature A380 Onboard Lounge.

Each course takes up to 8 hours and includes study guides, an interactive app, and tasting notes. Officially launcehd in June 2024, more than 1,000 cabin crew have completed the training, with plans to extend it to 22,000 more by 2026.

L’art du vin courses cover topics such as wine regions, climate impact, wine and food pairing, and prestigious Premier and Grand Cru ClassΓ¨ wines. Participants receive a certificate of achievement and the opportunity to progress to the next level.

A select group of cabin crew members identified as wine ambassadors, certified by The Wine & Spirit Education Trust, lead the program, ensuring Emirates cabin crew deliver exceptional wine expertiseΒ toΒ customers.
