Gulf Air unveils enhanced NDC portal features

Gulf Air has announced major updates to its New Distribution Capability (NDC) portal, specifcially designed to improve the booking and travel management experience for its partners.

Key updates to the NDC portal include:

  • Enhanced Order Reshop Capabilities: Users can now enjoy greater flexibility and customisation when booking flights, with the ability to re-shop any origin and destination, and combine different fare brands.
  • India Barcode Mandate: Compliant with new regulations, NDC tickets to and from India will now feature automatically generated barcodes, which can also be emailed directly to customers.
  • Differentiated Ancillary Content: Offer competitive baggage rates with discounted ancillary services now available on NDC for applicable markets, enhancing the travel experience for clients.

As one of the Middle East’s pioneering airlines, Gulf Air has been operating since 1950, connecting to more than 40 destinations worldwide from its Bahrain International Airport hub.

Meanwhile Gulf Air has also signed an agreement with Tamkeen to train 74 Bahraini pilots and aviation engineers. Under the agreement, 50 Bahrainis will be trained as second officers, while 24 will undergo training in aviation engineering.
