Emirates recently hosted its largest commercial gathering to date, welcoming more than 850 team members from around the world to Dubai for the Passenger Sales Conference 2024.

Held under the theme “Next Era – Equip, Embrace, Excel”, this biannual event brought together the airline’s global commercial team for strategic discussions, knowledge sharing, and alignment on the company’s vision for future growth.

The conference featured influential speakers from aviation, tourism, and beyond, as well as motivational experts and bestselling authors. HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presented the Chairman Sales Award to top performers.

Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, outlined the airline’s strategic growth plans, emphasizing innovation, teamwork, and technology adoption. He expressed confidence in Emirates’ ability to drive exceptional value and accelerate growth, aligned with Dubai’s D33 ambitions.

Key highlights included:

  • Strategic discussions on revenue management, loyalty, and B2C sales
  • Fireside chat on Emirates-flydubai partnership with Ghaith Al Ghaith
  • Spotlight on Emirates’ iconic brand and its role in inspiring new audiences
  • Updates on Al Maktoum International Airport’s development
  • Insights from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism on driving growth and attracting visitors

Emirates is investing heavily in expansion, refurbishing over 200 aircraft, adding Premium Economy cabins, and growing its network to include Bogota and Madagascar.

With record profits and revenue, Emirates is poised for accelerated growth, driven by its commitment to innovation, customer experience, and teamwork.

As part of the growth strategy, Emirates has appointed experienced managers, including six UAE Nationals, to key markets in the Middle East and Africa, enhancing its commercial expertise.

From 1 October, the following commercial managers have assumed these roles:

  • Abdulla Adnan:Β Formerly Manager Tanzania, will become Manager Morocco
  • Cathrine Wesley:Β FormerlyΒ Country Manager Ghana and Ivory Coast, will become Manager Algeria
  • Fahad Al Hassawi:Β FormerlyΒ  Manager Oman, will become District Manager Dharan andΒ KSA Eastern Province
  • Khalfan Al Salami:Β FormerlyΒ  Manager Morocco, will become Manager Kuwait and Iraq
  • Omar Alhemeiri:Β FormerlyΒ  Manager Algeria, will become Manager Tanzania
  • Saood Al Aqili:Β FormerlyΒ  District Manager Dharan andΒ KSA Eastern Province, will become Country Manager Ghana

Notably, Emirates has also also announced the promotion of Khalid Al Zarooni, currently Manager Kuwait and Iraq, to Emirates’ Vice President, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
