Ciel Dubai is taking the record-breaking top spot

Move over Gevora, there’s a taller hotel in town. At 364m and 82 floors, Ciel Dubai Marina is expecting to claim the title of the world’s tallest hotel, snatching the crown from Gevora’s 356m. In a city where height is a competitive sport, this victory is more than just symbolic, it’s architectural bragging rights at their finest.

Futuristic skyscraper meets luxury playground

Ciel isn’t simply tall, it’s ambitious. Designed by the award-winning NORR Group, the tower’s needle-like silhouette is not just for show. Every curve was shaped through computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing. Inside, the space is just as jaw-dropping: 1,004 rooms and 147 suites, a 985ft high atrium, and 12 stacked atrium gardens.

Dining, lounging, and sky-high indulgence

With eight dining concepts, foodies will find themselves spoiled for choice. From Tattu’s modern Asian plates on Level 74, to the stylish Sky Lounge on Level 81 with panoramic 360-degree views, this hotel was built to impress both the palate and the Instagram feed. For a different kind of indulgence, the Level 61 spa and 24/7 gym ensure wellness also soars to new heights.

The pool that breaks records

Of course, Ciel couldn’t resist doubling down on records, and has created the world’s highest infinity pool, suspended on Level 76 inside the tower’s dramatic “eye of the needle.” Guests can float among the clouds while gazing at the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah, and beyond. And if that’s not enough, there are three more pools dotted around the property.
