Mohammad Lootah will head Emirates Switzerland

Leadership changes are coming to Emirates in Switzerland, as well as the Six Senses, Radisson and Rosewood hotels here in the Middle East. Here’s what these new appointments are bringing to the table.

Emirates has appointed Mohammad Lootah as their new Country Manager for Switzerland. Having worked in several management capacities around the Middle East region, including Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait and Jordan since joining EMirates in 2016, he will now oversee the airline’s overall business including sales and service functions for passenger and airport operations. Mohammad Lootah succeeds Juerg Mueller, who played an integral role in supporting Emirates’ successful operations in Switzerland throughout his 16 years with the airline. Emirates has been opertating flights to Switzerland for more than and currently operates four non-stop daily flights between Dubai and Zurich and Geneva

Six Senses Zighy Bay appoints Walter Butti as new Eecutive Chef

Walter Butti has been named the new Executive Chef of Six Senses Zighy Bay, the renowned eco-friendly resort nestled in Oman’s striking Musandam Peninsula. Having enjoyed a highly international career working in the Maldives, Ghana, Sydney, Switzerland, South Africa, Mauritius, and the United States, it was his tenure at Six Senses Yao Noi, Thailand that led him to win top accolades in Southeast Asia. This was also when he gained a profound understanding of the Six Senses brand, making him an ideal addition to the his current resort team. Chef Butti’s vision for Six Senses Zighy Bay includes expanding farm-to-table initiatives, collaborating with local suppliers, and curating innovative, sustainable menus. He plans to introduce a new concept for the resort’s iconic dining destination, Sense on the Edge, later this year.

New Chief Engineer and IT Manger at Radisson Dubai

Radisson Dubai Damac Hills has welcomed Deepak Saini as its new Chief Engineer and Mohamed Farwath as IT Manager. 

Farwarth has 25 years of experience working for prestigious hospitality companies like the Hyatt and Hilton. He also has a background in operations and team management and a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.

Meanwhile, Saini has had a distinguished career in electrical and electromechanical machinery. His diverse experience in HVAC, security, refrigeration plants, power generation, and hydraulic systems makes him uniquely qualified to oversee the Radisson’s needs. He has also managed large-scale projects in local hotels, including Crowne Plaza Jumeirah Dubai and Ramada Jumeirah Hotel.

Veteran employee promoted to MD at Rosewood Jeddah

Rosewood Jeddah has appointed Hussein Dayekh, a veteran employee, as its new Managing Director. Dayekh, who joined in 2015, has over 20 years of hospitality experience, including 14 with Rosewood. His leadership has been key in driving the hotel’s success, emphasising commercial excellence, creating an inclusive culture, and promoting sustainability. Under his guidance, Rosewood Jeddah aims to reinforce its status as a premier luxury destination, focusing on innovation and community impact.
