Themed hotels that kids (and grown-ups) will love in the Middle East

Travelling with children is so much more fun when the hotel stay is an adventure in itself. The Middle East is home to some incredible themed hotels, from cartoon-inspired resorts to underwater wonderlands, that turn a family holiday into a storybook experience. Here are some of the best themed hotels in the region, as well as standout stays with good kids’ experiences!

  1. LEGOLAND® Hotel Dubai

Where: Dubai, UAE next to the LEGOLAND Dubai theme park

Theme: LEGO

From the dragon at the entrance to lifts that feel like party boxes, everything is, you guessed it, lego themed. Rooms come in bold themes (Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure, LEGO Friends) with treasure hunts and buckets of bricks.

Child-height check-in and buffets make little VIPs feel in charge. Combine with character meet-and-greets and building workshops to keep them busy, it’s a hotel that makes visiting LEGOLAND so much better.

  1. The WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton

Where: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

Theme: Warner Bros. movies and cartoons

The world’s first Warner Bros. hotel is wall-to-wall Hollywood: memorabilia, prop displays, and characters from Looney Tunes to DC Super Heroes wandering by at breakfast. The kids’ club lays on crafts, screenings and comic-book fun, and by night, cartoons roll beside the pool.

A very cute perk includes classic characters who sometimes deliver milk and cookies to your room. Yas Island’s theme parks are on your doorstep, so it’s rides by day, movie magic by night.

  1. The Land of Legends Nickelodeon™ Hotel & Resorts Antalya

Where: Türkiye

Theme: Nickelodeon cartoons

SpongeBob, PAW Patrol and the Ninja Turtles headline this candy-coloured castle of a resort. Themed rooms, character breakfasts, slime-tastic surprises and a dedicated “Club Nick” mean kids are on cloud nine while parents enjoy the spa or a waterside lounger. You also get a huge theme park and water park in the complex, so there’s no such thing as “nothing to do”. It’s pure, high-energy, and TV-to-real-life chaos, in the best possible way.

  1. Atlantis, The Palm

Where: Dubai

Theme: Lost city of Atlantis

Atlantis is a full-blown aquatic playground that include vast pools, a beach, and a colossal waterpark with lazy rivers and splash zones for all ages. The kids’ club goes big on ocean-adventure themes, and budding marine biologists can peer into aquariums or meet experts.

For the ultimate brag, book an Underwater Suite with a bedroom window into the lagoon where fish can glide past your pillow.

  1. Pickalbatros Alf Leila Wa Leila (Neverland Resort)

Where: Hurghada

Theme: Arabian Nights Fairytale

With domes, arches and lanterns, this sprawling, all-inclusive resort is an Arabian fantasy brought to life with some likening it to Disney in Egypt. Families bounce between an enormous aqua park and nightly extravaganzas with horses, dancers and story-driven light shows.

There’s a kids’ club and dedicated splash areas, plus a heritage-style zone with miniature monuments for a fun, low-effort dose of culture. It’s exuberant, theatrical and fabulously photogenic.

  1. Nofa Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Resort

Where: Saudi Arabia

Theme: Safari meets the sands

This African-style game lodge sits in the Saudi desert, complete with wildlife park drives to spot zebra, giraffe and friends. Villas have thatched-roofs and desert views, while families can ride horses, play mini-golf and paddle on the lake.

The kids’ hub adds bowling and a mini cinema for cooler afternoons, and evenings bring starry skies and campfire stories. It’s part field trip, part fantasy, and utterly different to a standard city stay.

The Middle East turns family hotels into the main event, so pick the world your crew loves, book those kids’ clubs early, and let the hotel be half the holiday.
