While alcohol is available to expatriates and visitors, it’s important to note that narcotic drugs are strictly prohibited.
Ras Al Khaimah Visa Requirements & Information
If you are a national citizen of a GCC country you do not require a visa to visit the UAE. You will simply need to produce your GCC country passport or ID Card upon arrival at the point of entry into the UAE.

Visa Requirements for All Other Countries
If you are NOT a citizen of one of the above-mentioned countries, you will require a visa and a sponsor for your visit. The sponsor normally applies for the visa on your behalf and it can be obtained through one of the following:
- Hotels and tourist companies can apply for a Tourist Visa (30 days), a Service Visa (14 days), or a Visit Visa (30 days, extendable twice for 30 days each) on your behalf.
- Airlines and their handlers may apply for a 96-hour Transit Visa for crew members.
- UAE-based organizations are permitted to apply for Visit and Service Visas.
- Individual UAE residents (friends or family) may also apply for a Visit Visa on your behalf, following specific guidelines.
