Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism has launched a new smart accommodation service for Hajj pilgrims as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency and quality of hospitality operations during the pilgrimage season. Saudi Arabia recorded 1.7 million pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj season, according to GASTAT. International pilgrims accounted for more than 1.5 million arrivals, with the majority entering through air travel.

The digital platform is designed to streamline reception and accommodation procedures through integrated smart systems, helping improve the speed of check-in processes and overall pilgrim experience.
