Ritz-Carlton Reserve heads to Abu Dhabi
Marriott has announced its plans to open their first Ritz-Carlton Reserve resort in the UAE in 2029. Located on the exclusive waterfront of Rahman Island, Abu Dhabi, the property will span 4 mil sqm of developed area; and feature a natural island connected through a network of waterways, 50 private floating villas with unobstructed azure water views, as well as state-of-the-art amenities. The entire waterfront community will also be home to charming residential villas, marina residences, luxury hotels, a range of lavish facilities and culinary venues.

More news from Marriott International – the company has unveiled the “Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy,” program designed to cater to the needs of business travellers. Product research revealed that 58% of SMB business travellers in the US, UK, Canada, and Mexico would rather book their own trips than use their companiesβ travel management platforms. This initiative solves the challenge by providing exclusive benefits such as streamlined booking processes, access to premium amenities, and personalised services aimed at enhancing productivity and comfort during corporate stays. It is currently available for SMBs in the US, MENA, Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
Radissonβs debut in Tunisia
The Radisson Hotel Group has made its debut in Tunisiaβs capital city, Tunis with the opening of Radisson Hotel Tunis City Center. Its new 97-room property offers contemporary amenities and a prime location near popular local landmarks. This new addition marks a significant step in Radisson’s expansion strategy to provide high-quality accomodation in North Africa. The new hotel is set to attract leisure and business travellers with amenities that include 246 sqm of meeting space and three conference rooms.
Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches coming in September 2024
The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with Les Roches Global Hospitality, will open the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy in Zayed Sports City this September. The academy aims to provide cutting-edge training and education for future hospitality leaders. Emphasising Emirati culture and high standards of service, the academy will include state-of-the-art facilities. This includes a 30-seat demo lab, pastry lab, and training kitchen. The academy will play a crucial role in developing talent in the hospitality sector in the UAE.
Hilton expanding with SLH
Hilton is expanding its partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), integrating 400 boutique properties into its portfolio and enhancing its offerings’ diversity. This strategic move allows Hilton Honors members to access exclusive SLH properties, providing luxury experiences and the ability to earn and redeem points. Gold and Diamond members will laos be able to enjoy room upgrades (where available), breakfast for up to two guests, points and money payment options, and many other rewards.
Ishraq’s expansion and sustainability
Ishraq Hospitality, part of the Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group, is expanding its footprint in Georgia while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability. First, it added two new properties in Batumi: the Crowne Plaza Beach Batumi and a 240-room hotel apartment complex. It is also exploring opportunities in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, focusing on third-party property management.
