RSG’s first Miraval Resort set to open ahead of Eid

Red Sea Global’s (RSG) Miraval The Red Sea opened on 15 May 2026, introducing the wellness brand’s first property outside the US ahead of the Eid Al Adha travel period. Located on Shura Island, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort features 180 rooms, suites and villas, alongside the island’s largest spa with 39 treatment rooms. Guests will have access to personalised wellness programmes focused on mindfulness, fitness, nutrition and locally inspired experiences.
Hilton plans major Morocco expansion

Hilton has announced plans to more than double its presence in Morocco, growing its portfolio to 25 hotels across the country in the coming years. The expansion will introduce 15 new properties spanning 10 Hilton brands. Hilton recently opened its first luxury property in Morocco, the Waldorf Astoria Rabat Sale, located in the Mohammed VI Tower, the country’s tallest building.
Upcoming projects also include new Tapestry Collection, Curio Collection, DoubleTree and Hilton Garden Inn properties across Casablanca, Marrakech, Chefchaouen, Nador and Tetouan, targeting both city and leisure tourism demand.
Marriott signs new Tribute Portfolio hotel in Cairo

Marriott International has expanded its pipeline in Egypt with the signing of a new Tribute Portfolio hotel and branded residences project in Sheikh Zayed, Cairo. Developed by TLD, the mixed-use Westrict development will include a 123-room hotel, 250 serviced residences, retail and dining outlets, and office space. The project will follow EDGE sustainability standards.

- IHG has opened voco Cairo Arabella Plaza, marking the voco brand’s debut in Egypt. The 80-room New Cairo hotel combines boutique-style design, mall access, dining venues, wellness facilities and local hospitality touches.
- InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa has introduced a Ladurée lobby café. The venue brings Parisian patisserie, afternoon tea and all-day dining to the resort’s guest experience.
- Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island has temporarily closed ahead of a major transformation, with reopening targeted for early 2027. The final renovation phase will focus on upgraded rooms and corridors as the resort repositions for Ras Al Khaimah’s evolving hospitality market.
- JA Resorts & Hotels is rolling out upgrades across its Dubai portfolio, including facade work at JA Ocean View Hotel, leisure enhancements at JA The Resort and a phased refresh of JA Hatta Fort Hotel. The improvements are designed to modernise guest spaces while preserving the brand’s long-standing Dubai hospitality identity.

- ALAIN has broken ground on Four Seasons Private Residences Abu Dhabi at Saadiyat Beach, with completion expected in 2029. The ultra-luxury beachfront community has already generated strong demand, with sales exceeding AED4 billion.
