Qatar: 10 million hotel room nights sold in 2024
Qatar’s hotel sector experienced significant growth in 2024, with 10 million room nights sold, a 23% increase from 2023, according to Qatar Tourism’s 2024 Annual Performance Report. The total hotel supply reached 40,405 room keys, with an average occupancy rate of 69% across all accommodation categories. International visitor arrivals surpassed 5 million, a 25% increase from 2023, with the GCC being the largest source market. The tourism sector also saw an 8% rise in Average Daily Rate (ADR) and a 29% increase in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).

Hyatt to launch Hyatt Place hotel in AlUla
Hyatt has signed a management agreement with the Royal Commission for AlUla to develop the first Hyatt-branded hotel in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The 215-key Hyatt Place AlUla is set to open by the end of 2025 and will offer modern guestrooms, food and beverage outlets, meeting space, and recreational facilities. The hotel will participate in World of Hyatt and will be located near key tourist attractions, supporting the Royal Commission’s vision to establish AlUla as a leading global destination for cultural and natural heritage.
