Oman Air and SalamAir extend codeshare partnership

Oman Air and SalamAir have announced their latest codeshare partnership to offer passengers even more travel options within the Sultanate of Oman and internationally. From 4 July 2024, passengers will be able to book their travel on a selection of SalamAir’s routes connecting to Oman Air’s network. Upon successful implementation, more destinations will be added.

Qatar introduces Uzbekistan, resumes services to Lisbon and Venice

Qatar Airway’s ambitious network expansion plans has just celebrated its inaugural flight to Tashkent International Airport (TAS), Uzbekistan on 2 June. Operating four-weekly flights to TAS, departing on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the airline hopes to pave the way for travellers to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Uzbekistan, a historic gateway to world-renowned Silk Road.

Over in Europe, Qatar has resumed its year-round non-stop service to Lisbon, operating six weekly flights during summer 2024. From 12 June, the airline will also resume daily flights to the floating city of Venice.

Emirates will launch four-weekly flights to Madagascar from 3 September. Flying via a linked service with the Seychelles, flights will operate on Tuesday Thursday, Saturday and Sunday with EK707 departing Dubai to the Seychelles at 0855hrs, arriving in Mahe at 1335hrs, before continuing on to Antananarivo landing at 1650hrs. The return EK708 flight will depart Antananarivo at 1835hrs, landing in Mahe at 2220hrs before taking off again at 2350hrs and arrive back into Dubai at 0420hrs the next day.
