Everyone’s favourite ‘friend’s group’ is trending on social media, following the season three release of Dubai Bling, one of the Emirates’ top reality TV series.
All nine episodes of the latest season dropped last week, and much like the first two, it didn’t disappoint with high-end (and sometimes questionable) fashion, business launches, betrayals, and even a broken plate. Perhaps also, a damaged tree.
Within hours of the series’ release, social media was abuzz with standout clips, episode reviews, Salem appreciation and hilarious one liners – although we don’t see Zeina getting enough credit for her incredible comedic timing this season.
One of the more underrated characters over the nine episode arch was the city of Dubai itself, which really turned on the charm for the cameras (and international audience). The city’s use of the popular reality series to promote tourism hotspots should come as no surprise, especially after a recent report found social media and streaming services to be one of the strongest methods of reaching perspective travellers.
From masquerade parties at the Belcanto to family time at Bounce Dubai, here’s a list of places that made an appearance this season and spots you should visit if you want to experience Dubai like a cast member of Dubai Bling:
Relax and unwind at The Oberoi Resort, Al Zorah
While the retreat may have been far from relaxing for the friend’s group, The Oberoi Beach Resort in the coastal suburb of Al Zorah is actually an ideal place to unwind and recharge.
The hotel exudes relaxation with an outdoor pool, sun terrace, private beach area and spa. If that wasn’t impressive enough, each villa comes with its own private, temperature-controlled pool, and there’s also a range of water sport facilities from snorkelling to kayaking (like the group).
To avoid forced removal from the retreat, try not throwing things at your travel buddies, especially ceramic-type items.
Catch a Hollywood blockbuster at Paramount Hotel Midtown
When there’s tension between you and your travel buddies, and like the ladies of Dubai Bling, you all need somewhere to unwind and escape, book a private movie session at the Paramount Hotel Midtown.
The hotel has a private screening room inspired by Tinsel Town, with stand-alone armchairs, a plush velvet couch and in-seat dining from popcorn to homemade sliders, lobster rolls and arancini balls.
Play Padel at Rad Sports – Dubai Studio City
Keep fit while you’re on holidays or like LJ, Mona, Danya and DJ Bliss, catch up on the latest gossip with a game of Padel at Rad Sports – Dubai Studio City.
Located 20 minutes (drive) from the Palm Jumeirah, Rad Sports is the center of fitness fun in Dubai with football fields, Padel courts, workout classes, an indoor rock climbing wall, trampolines and more.
Enjoy a coffee (sizes Safa or Zeina) at the Bestie’s Café – Al Seef
Grab your travel bestie for a hit of caffeine at the Bestie’s Café. Owned by two of the cast members (Ebraheem and Danya) from Dubai Bling, the café is in Dubai’s popular waterfront area of Al Seef and serves coffee (Zeina – tall or Safa – short), cakes and other desserts, as well as limited time Bestie’s Chocolate.
Get a bird’s eye view with Sky Dive Dubai
For an adventurous experience of the Emirati city, jump out of a plane like Zeina and Roz. Like the brave duo, the dive will have you freefalling at over 200km per hour and enjoying a bird’s eye view of Dubai while safely harnessed to an experience instructor.
Much like the show, the entire dive can be photographed and recorded for sharing with your friends, family, or social media followers.
If you’re a bit like us at Rihlat Travel News and prefer your adventures firmly on ground, bail on your friends in the manner of Mona.
Enjoy flavours of Italy at Belcanto Restaurant at Dubai Opera
When the masks come off, you can really enjoy the Italian-inspired food at Belcanto Restaurant atop of the Dubai Opera.
Described as a ‘gastronomic journey’, the Italian menu features dishes from around the European country including burrata on pizza, black truffle pasta, eggplant parmigiana and more.
During your visit, keep the drama to Ebraheem and the Opera singers, and maybe don’t stomp on the restaurant’s beautiful glass tables.
Sneak in some family time at Bounce Dubai
Give the kids a good laugh or like Farhana, distract them while you have a serious conversation with your (ex) significant other, with a trip to Bounce Dubai.
Described as the best trampoline park in the city, Bounce Dubai is in Dubai Festival City Mall and has a series of trampolines, airbags and adventure challenges for visitors of all ages.
Join Dubai Fashion Week at Dubai Design District
If you can get your hands on a highly coveted ticket to the annual Dubai Fashion Week, you’ll get to see the best of new and upcoming fashion. You may also bump into some of Dubai Bling’s cast members or a few unidentified females.
Outside of the buzzing week, the Dubai Design District has an incredible history as the first and largest design district in the Middle East.
