Top 10 family-friendly waterparks in the UAE

Let’s dive into the top 10 water parks in the UAE that promise family fun, cultural thrills, and inspired by some of the most notorious stories and characters. 

1. Surf Abu Dhabi

The highly anticipated waterpark to hit the UAE, Surf Abu Dhabi is claiming to be “the grandest and most magnificent artificial wave on the entire planet”. Set to open by Ocober 2024, this will be a new bucket-list surf destination for surf entusiasts. Developed by Modon Properties in collaboration with surfing legend Kelly Slater, the park will cater to all skill levels. Featuring cutting-edge technology, surfers will enjoy epic barrels, long rides and the highest man-made waves.

2. Atlantis Aquaventure, Dubai

The first Middle Eastern water park to earn a CAC (Certified Autism Center) designation, Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark in The Palm is inclusive, accessible and doesn’t skimp on the attractions. As the world’s largest water park it has recently undergone an expansion to a private beach, marine animal habitat and lazy river alongside a large collection of rides. 

3. Yas Waterworld, Abu Dhabi

As one of the most famous water parks, we had to add Yas Waterworld, Abu Dhabi to the list. More than 40 rides and attractions can be found at the park including the world’s first hydro-magnetic tornado waterslide alongside the wave pools and children’s play areas. Notably, the park also features the world’s largest surfable sheet wave and the region’s only 5D water adventure in its 37 acres. 

4. Dreamland Aqua Park, Ras Al Khaimah

Located in Umm Al Quwain, and one of the largest water parks in the region, Dreamland Aqua Park has a variety of slides, a wave pool, and water attractions. It also features a mini zoo with photo opportunities, and a pool bar to accommodate the whole family. 

5. Pearl Kingdom Water Park, Sharjah

If you like a party with your water park, then Pearl Kingdom was created just for you! Featuring foam, water guns, zumba, and DJs alongside the adrenaline rides, this place promises a fun time for adults and young ones. There are also more leisurely options available including lazy river, tube rides and an oasis-like pool for those looking to chill. 

6. Wild Wadi Waterpark, Dubai

Located near Burj Al Arab and established in 1998, Wild Wadi boasts the largest wave pool in the Middle East. The park offers 30 rides, attractions, and slides, as well as lagoons with water-activities for yonger children. 

7. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

As the first SeaWorld to be built without orcas, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi has interactive exhibits, immersive experiences, and over 100,000 animals spanning over 183,000 sqm. The park also offers animal encounters, 15+ rides and attractions, retail outlets, and dining experiences. 

8. Legoland Water Park, Dubai

If you or the kids are LEGO® lovers, Legoland’s water park is the only UAE water park designed for 2-12 year olds and their families. The attractions include splash safari, slip and slides, and incorporates lego into building rafts and firing ‘Joker Soakers’. 

9. Al Majaz Splash Park, Sharjah

If you’re looking for a water park that allows you to enjoy the city, Al Majaz Splash Park at the waterfront is a seasonal attraction designed for children. Water jets, interactive musical fountain, and splash pads can be found alongside a miniature golf course, and open air activities. 

10. Murjan Splash Park, Abu Dhabi

This modest splash park has a 257m lazy river, bumper boats for operation by kids, swimming pools for adults and kids, as well as five water attractions, water games, and main play structure in the shallow pool for smaller children.
