IHG to open Kimpton and Even Hotels at Saudi’s King Abdullah Sports City

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal with Koushan Real Estate to develop two new hotels, Kimpton and Even, at Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City, the future site of the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Slated to open in 2028, the dual-branded project will feature 585 rooms, wellness facilities, retail, and fan zones. This marks Kimpton’s debut in Saudi Arabia and Even’s first Middle East location, both aimed at luxury, wellness, and sports-focused travellers.
Hilton to launch Waldorf Astoria Nile Cruise in 2026

Hilton is set to enter the luxury river cruise market with the Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, launching in late 2026. This marks Hilton’s return to Egypt after more than 50 years, offering a six-night luxury cruise between Luxor and Aswan aboard a five-deck vessel with 29 river-view suites. Guests can expect personalised service, curated excursions to historic sites, and exclusive experiences like helicopter rides and wellness retreats. The cruise will also focus on sustainability, and Hilton Honours members will be able to earn and redeem points, making it the only Nile cruise to offer this benefit.
