Aldhafra Resort, Vignette Collection – Abu Dhabi

A two hour drive from Zayed International Airport this family friendly resort nestled in the dunes of Liwa, blends Arabian heritage with modern elegance. The resort offers 105 rooms and suites and currently has an opening offer providing guests with two complimentary activities including camel rides, falcon shows, Arabic Qahwa tastings, sand artistry, and wellness sessions. Whilst the gym, kids club and spa are yet to roll out, the resort offers an authentic retreat into the Arabian wilderness.

Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile is open for business. Beyond the luxury feel, the hotel boasts an ideal location. The 615 key property is only moments away is the bustling Tahrir square where guests can explore local markets and try traditional Egyptian cuisine. The hotel is also a short distance away from the Cairo Opera House, Giza Pyramids, Cairo Citadel medieval fortress and Ancient Coptic Quarter, with its iconic churches.

A few of the hotel highlights:

  • 52 suites, each with private balcony overlooking the Nile
  • 17 meeting rooms, including a ball room for up to 1000 guests
  • Three fantastic F&B offerings including:
    • Jayda Nile Terrace – Egyptian-Lebanese cuisine
    • Kamala – East Asian fine dining with the open kitchen layout
    • Stage One nightclub – perfect spot for a stylish beverage

This hotel opening comes months after the announcement of the Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC). This luxury property is set to open in late 2027, and will be located near the majestic Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), offering unrivalled views of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks.

Now Open: Four Points by Sheraton – Jeddah KSA

The new property unlocks an additional 112 rooms and suites in the Kingdom’s seaside city. Conveniently located near Jeddah’s bustling downtown, financial hub, and popular attractions, this Four Points by Sheraton hotel offers easy access to shopping, museums, and sports venues. Additionally, the hotel 15 minutes drive to King Abdulaziz International Airport. Whilst the pool is not yet open, the Creek restaurant is ready to serve guests.

Every room boasts the Four Points Comfort bed. Quite incredibly, guests can purchase their very own Four Points Comfort bed for their own homes. Prices start from USD1200 and can be ordered online

The property is managed by Aleph Hospitality, the largest independent hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa. The group has an ambitious target of managing 50 hotels by 2027. The opening adds to the diverse range of options available in Jeddah, and comes not too long after the opening of The Edition Jeddah, another landmark Marriott property.

New Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme for Emiratis now accepting applications

Marriott International and The Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), are teaming up to launch an apprenticeship training program for UAE Nationals. The two year program aims to cultivate home grown talent, creating professional pathways into the hospitality. Marriott’s involvement includes providing in-hotel placements, offering employment opportunities and on the job training, which will completment the theoretical component of the course. Applications are now open and can be made via the DCT website. The program, supported by the UAE Ministry of Eduction is seen as a welcome addition to deepening the local talent pool to support the vibrant hospitality sector in the UAE.
